Rob is an Industrial Engineer from Purdue University and achieved an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2008. He has practiced as an engineer in manufacturing and engineering operations in five industries including Building Materials, Consumer Electronics, Property Management, Marketing Supply Chain and Aerospace electro-mechanical actuators. Rob has extensive experience manufacturing and designing actuators for both military and commercial applications for aircraft and land based vehicles.

Mr. Burkart became the CIO of a publicly traded company in 2014 and created software for both internal and external use for Fortune 500 firms. Presently he is the Chief Information Officer of a private equity portfolio company creating best in class proprietary software.

Rob holds three software patents from his inventions while running software groups.
