Luis De Los Santos is a junior researcher at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (Chair of Agricultural Policy) of the University of Göettingen, Germany. He trained in agricultural economics at the University of Göettingen, Talca University and Pontificia Católica Madre y Maestra, Dominican Republic. Before joining the University of Göettingen, De Los Santos led the Planning Department at the Dominican Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Research. His research interest focuses on the analysis of agricultural growth with particular emphasis on technical efficiency and productivity growth, technology adoption, and the economic effect of natural resource management technologies. De Los Santos has served as a consultant to various organizations. His work has been funded by several institutions including the Inter-American Development Bank, Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN, US Agency for International Development, Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD), Dominican National Council on Competitiveness, and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). Furthermore, De Los Santos has worked as a business consultant for several sectors, including telecommunication, food retail, and agriculture. His academic experience focuses on business strategy and productivity at Loyola Polytechnic Institute, Dominican Republic, and assistant professor of international policy at the University of Göettingen, Germany.
