Jack M. Greenberg

Mr. Greenberg retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s Corporation, a publicly traded global food service retailer, at the end of 2002. He had served as McDonald’s Chairman since May 1999, and as its Chief Executive Officer since August 1998. Mr. Greenberg served as McDonald’s President from August 1998 to May 1999, and as its Vice-Chairman from December 1991 to August 1998. He also served as Chairman from October 1996, and Chief Executive Officer from July 1997, of McDonald’s USA until August 1998.
Before joining McDonald’s, Mr. Greenberg was a Partner and Director of Tax Services for both the Midwest Region and Chicago office of Arthur Young & Company and served on the firm’s management committee.
Mr. Greenberg currently serves on the Board of Directors of InnerWorkings, Inc. (since 2005) and currently as its non-executive Chairman, and also serves on the Board of IQVIA (since 2004). He was Chairman of The Western Union Company (2006 to May 2017). Mr. Greenberg has also previously served as a Director of a number of corporations, including The Allstate Corporation, First Data Corporation, Harcourt General, Inc., Hasbro, Inc., Manpower, Inc., and Stone Container Corporation.
Mr. Greenberg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the Chicago Bar Association.
Mr. Greenberg’s civic involvement includes service as the Chairman of the Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority (MPEA), the public agency which owns McCormick Place and Navy Pier, and service on the board of Choose Chicago, DePaul University, where he previously served as Chairman, the Institute of International Education, the Field Museum, and Navy Pier, Inc.
Mr. Greenberg is a graduate of DePaul University’s School of Commerce and School of Law. Mr. Greenberg is a certified public accountant and an attorney.
